At St Faith’s Church we have been taking advice from the Church of England and from the Methodist Church as to how we should respond to the recent coronavirus outbreak in the country. We are seeking to do all that we can to keep ourselves safe and want to reassure you of the continuing support and care for all our members and for the wider community.
The current situation means that sadly we cannot meet in our church for public worship and so all our Sunday and mid-week services have had to be suspended for the time being.
This is a big change for us but it doesn’t mean that we stop being a community of prayer and so I encourage you to pray. There will be words of prayer posted on our Facebook page www.facebook.com/StFaithsGaywoodLEP and other resources will be made available to you as well over these coming weeks.
It is so important that we stay connected as we care for one another, something that we can all take an active part in.
St Faith's is an Anglican/Methodist partnership Church which aims to offer a warm welcome and a wide variety of worship styles. We seek to love God and our neighbours as ourselves. We have many activities for all ages. We are committed to following Christ as faithful disciples in the 21st century. Do explore the website and come and join us on a Sunday or at one of our midweek activities.
St Faith's Church serves the Parish of Gaywood within King's Lynn and is part of the Norwich Diocese. There are approximately 22,000 people living in the Parish of Gaywood on the following estates: Newlyn, Fairstead, Gaywood Park, Bishop's Park, King's Reach, Springwood, Reffley, Grange Estate, Pandora Meadows, Templemead, Wootton Ride, Millfields, Stonebridge, The Field Lane area, River meadows and around the Gaywood shops. We are also part of the West Norfolk Circuit within the East Anglia District of the Methodist Church.
There are a number of opportunities for worship at St Faith's each Sunday and also throughout the week. We have a good range of groups to suit all ages that meet in our Church Rooms, as well as social evenings and fund raising events. We have developed strong links with the community through our work in schools and with various neighbourhood schemes. Many people choose St Faith's Church for baptisms, weddings and funerals giving the church the opportunity to link with families from the community and to support them at these times.
Two magazines are produced for the congregation: "Together" (monthly) which is the parish magazine for Gaywood and "Rejoice" (bi-monthly) which is the Methodist Circuit magazine. Both magazines are available from the church or the church office. They can also be delivered.
